The AISD School Health Advisory Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30pm - 8:00pm in the Carruth Auditorium Board Room at 1111 West Sixth Street, unless otherwise noted. There is no meeting in July. Membership to the SHAC is by annual school board appointment. Meetings are open to all interested persons.

The work of the SHAC is carried out by its committees. These committees include:

• Health Education
• Social and Emotional Wellness
• Health Services
• Healthy School Environment
• Staff Wellness

AISD SHAC Committee meetings are scheduled at the discretion of the committee chair. Membership on a committee is open to anyone in the public who is interested in supporting children's health.
