Family and Community Involvement Committee
Healthy Kids at Home and School Children need to learn and practice healthy habits both at home and at school. Family and community involvement are critical elements in this process. The Austin ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) and the Austin Council of PTA's (ACPTA) are committed to working together in a culturally sensitive manner with children, families and schools to help everyone develop healthy habits. What is required by law?
How can I help my school? Join PTA. Form a campus wellness committee. Work with your principal, teachers, PE, food service, nurse, counselor, parents and the community to:
