  Austin Parents Can View Child’s Grades, Attendance On-Line

January 7, 2009 - Austin parents can soon view their child’s grades and attendance records on-line, thanks to Parent Connection, a new service that will be activated at all AISD campuses by January 16.

AISD's Photo Gallery - Dozen of Freescale Semiconductor employees donned holidayhats and became helpful elves on Thursday, December 18, as they delivered gifts to 456 Sunset Valley Elementary School students on the last day of the Fall 2008 semester. The comppany's Holiday Adopt-A-School campaign is an annual event. However, in previous years, the employees were located in Northeast Austin offices, and had adopted the nearby campus of Norman Elementary School. this year employees moved into the company's Southwest Austin offices, near Sunset Valley. Approximately 75 percent of students at the school qualify for the federally funded free and reduced price breakfast and lunch program.
