February 23, 2010 - The Austin Independent School District is carefully monitoring the current winter weather situation.  

Conditions are such that AISD will not release school early today. Students will be dismissed at their regular times. After-school child care (Extend-a-Care, YMCA, etc.) will operate as normal, but parents may pick up their student at any time. However, all District activities and events scheduled for this evening—including all athletic events—are cancelled.  
 
AISD anticipates operating on a normal schedule on Wednesday, February 24.  
 
However, should the need arise, additional weather-related information will be provided directly to parents and District staff through School Messenger. It will also be posted on the AISD Website, announced on AISD-TV, Channel 22, and reported by the Austin news media.
