Rosedale Offers February Special Education Program

February 1, 2010 - The next parent training session for special education families is planned for February. The Family Support Cooperative will be Tuesday, February 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rosedale School, located at 2117 W. 49th Street. Free childcare and pizza will be provided beginning at 6:30 p.m. Spanish translators and interpreters for the hearing impaired will also be available.
That night’s session will include:
  • A Resource Fair on community services, summer camps and other programs.
  • A sibling group for brothers and sisters of a family member with a disability
  • A problem-solving group for families of children with ADD/ADHD and for adults with ADD/ADHD
  • SAMA (Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression).
 
 
These sessions are a cooperative effort between AISD, Austin Travis County Integral Care, and The Arc of the Capital Area, and are designed for parents, siblings, caregivers, educators and others.
