November 14, 2008 - Eastside Memorial High School teachers, staff, students and parents will join Austin School District leaders and community supporters on the Eastside Memorial High School "Walk for Student Success," beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 15, at the school, 1012 Arthur Stiles Road. The goal is to reach every Eastside Memorial High School student's home that morning to distribute information to parents about the importance of attendance and to strengthen the relationship between parents and the school.

The school is seeking volunteers to reach out to all Eastside Memorial families by going door-to-door in neighborhoods near the school. Maps, addresses, and materials will be provided to each team. Volunteer check-in is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the school library.
