AISD Trustees Invite Input on Boundaries for New Southwest Elementary School

The Austin School District Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 11, to hear citizen input on proposed boundaries for the new Southwest Elementary School, currently under construction at 12200 Meridian Park Boulevard. The school is scheduled to open in August 2010.

on Display at Anderson High School

Hundreds of Austin elementary, middle and high school students experienced front row access to one of only 25 surviving copies of a rare broadside of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, which was on display at Anderson High School.

AISD Sets Special Application Process for Dual Language Program

The Austin School District has established a special application process for the Two-Way Dual Language programs at Becker, Ridgetop, and Wooten elementary schools for students entering Kindergarten and First Grade in the 2010-2011 school year.
