School Web Site Templates

In an effort to make web site design and maintenance easier for AISD schools, the AISD Web Team is creating templates that schools can use to build their site.

Schools are not required to use these templates. These templates are to be used as starting points for your campus web site if you need them. Before using these templates, make sure that you have already planned out how users will navigate through your site and how your content will be arranged.

The templates are designed with a combination of CSS and HTML and will work on the latest browsers (version 5+ browsers). The general look of the template, including fonts and colors, can be changed from within a CSS document that was designed to be easy to change to suit your school colors.

Currently we offer only two templates. More will be available in the future.

1) Simple Two Column - Top Menu [ Download ]

This template [ View Example ] is a simple layout with the main menu on the top and two columns. The larger column is for the main body of the site and the smaller column can be used for a sub-menu or other information such as announcements.

2) Simple Two Column - Left Side Menu [ Download ]

This template [ View Example ] is a simple layout with the main menu on the left side. The larger column is for the main body. It has also been designed with submenus (See the "Academics" link for an example).
