Thank you for applying with Austin ISD. We want this to be a positive experience for you. Please take a few moments to review the instructions prior to completing your profile. We have included some frequently asked questions that we hope will be helpful to you. If you need further assistance, you may request help via email.

This online profile may only be used for classified positions.

To apply for a classified position, please complete each of the following steps:

  1. Complete the online applicant profile for classified positions (link below). All information entered will be saved when you exit your profile.
  2. You may send the following documents to the office of Classified Human Resources, 1111 W. 6th Street, Austin, TX 78703 or fax to (512) 414-5899.
    • Resume and Cover Letter
    • Official transcripts that show the degree conferred.
  3. Search for Jobs: When you have completed your applicant profile, please conduct a Job Search on our website - it is updated daily. Once you see a position that interests you, please return to your applicant profile and complete your online classified application. You may select up to four positions preferences that match your qualifications. You may return to your profile at any time and apply for new positions as vacancies are posted.
Note: You should not update your application if a new position with the same position title is posted. For example, if you have selected Secretary III as a position preference in response to a Secretary III posting, you do not need to update your application if another Secretary III position at a different location is posted.
  4. Testing: If you are applying for a clerical, secretarial, or bookkeeping position, please contact the Classified Human Resources Office at 414-9936 to schedule an appointment for testing. Due to the large volume of applicants, please allow 48 hours for a return call.
  5. Compensation: Each job posting will reflect an hourly or salary range depending on the position. Pay will be determined based on the district's compensation guidelines and the applicant's related experience and/or education. Applicants will be required to submit official written employment verifications for any experience they would like reviewed for compensation purposes.
