Bond Program Annual Report
To the reader: On behalf of the Austin ISD community, I am proud to report our District's continued progress toward fulfilling the goals of The Apple at Work Bond Programs. In both 2004 and 2008, the community expressed its core belief that all children can learn and achieve, and deserve the best learning environments possible. With your help, The Apple at Work Bond programs have provided, and will continue to provide, new schools, updated facilities and technology, and safe and productive learning environments for every child and family we serve. These are your investments in education - investments made throughout the District that are helping each of Austin's more than 83,000 students learn to his or her fullest potential. In clear and constant partnership with the community, Austin ISD has organized its resources and its work to provide effective management of bond program projects and funds. We have continued this approach to allow for seamless execution as we implement the projects approved by voters in the 2008 Bond Program with the nearly-complete 2004 Bond Program. As I assume leadership of the Austin Independent School District, I am proud to renew our pledge to you - that we will accomplish this work in a timely manner, with prudent use of your tax dollars, and with the best educational interests of our community's students always our top priority.
