Bond Program Annual Report
To the reader: On behalf of the Austin ISD community, I am proud to report on our continued progress toward fulfilling the goals of the 2004 Apple at Work Bond Program. These investments in new and improved facilities throughout the district are essential to help each of Austin's more than 83,000 students learn to their fullest potential. In 2004, the community sent a resounding message with the approval of the Bond Program - that every child can learn and achieve, and that every child needs and deserves the best learning environment possible. Our job as a District has been to create those environments and deliver on the promise made to the children and families of Austin. Throughout the first three years of The Apple at Work, we have organized ourselves and our work to provide effective management of projects and funds, in clear and constant partnership with the community. I am proud of the success of that partnership in bringing new schools, updated facilities, and safe and productive learning environments for every child and family we serve. Pascal D.
