2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Reseal/resurface existing parking lots and drives
• Construct additional parking spaces in selected areas
• Install additional exterior security lighting
• Improve storm/site drainage in selected areas
• Replace deteriorated exterior doors at gym boiler room
• Repair/replace approximately 3,000 square feet of built-up roofing at small gym
• Repair/replace inoperable exterior windows
• Replace ceiling and light fixtures in kitchen
• Replace floor covering in library
• Replace deteriorated wood floor in small gym
• Renovate/refurbish student and faculty restrooms
• Replace deteriorated ventilation system controls and equipment
• Install exhaust fans to ventilate girls’ and boys’ locker/dressing rooms
• Replace deteriorated exhaust fans in faculty restrooms
• Install emergency egress lighting
• Replace deteriorated electrical panels
• Replace boiler for girls’ and boys’ shower rooms
• Install safety and security enhancements

2008 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Technology upgrades
• Replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning system equipment in two-story classroom wing
• Convert four existing classrooms into science classrooms
• Cafeteria and kitchen improvements

Make modifications as required to provide accessible exterior route. Complete. Under budget. Funded with 2002 Bond program funds.*
Safety and security: card reader door access. Complete. Within budget.*
Install fire alarm system. Complete. Under budget.* Coordinated with ceiling improvements.
Repair and replace windows, construct site drainage, renovate restrooms, replace boiler and electrical panels, resurface drives, add parking, replace ceiling in kitchen, replace carpet in library and floor in small gym, safety and security enhancements. Complete. Under budget.* Glazing selection for reduced heat gain. Drainage for improved crawlspace humidity and sanitary conditions.
Install supplemental conditioned fresh air systems for classroom. Complete. Within budget. Funded with 2002 bond funds.* All new mechanical systems will meet and exceed the latest energy standards.
Roofing repair and replacement 3,000 square feet of roofing above the small gym. Complete. Under budget.* New roof system will provide increased thermal efficiency and solar reflectivity.
Renovate restrooms for the Ann Richards school. Complete. Under budget.*
Renovate and replace parking lots and drives, install downspouts to underground drainage system. Complete. Within budget.* Pavement will comply with City of Austin environmental requirements.
Convert four-science classrooms; renovate cafeteria/kitchen. Design phase. Project will include energy efficiencies and sustainability strategies.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
