Current Schedule Budget General Environmental
Build a new northeast 1,100 student, two-story middle school on 41 acres. Complete. School opened August 2007. Over budget. Use of program level contingency funds approved by Board.* Work with adjacent tennis center approved by City Council. Working with Austin Energy on solar collector array. Project is being designed to meet Austin Energy three-star Green Building rating.
Austin Tennis Center on City Parkland adjacent to Garcia Middle School. Complete. Within budget. City of AUstin will provide funding for 5 of 12 courts.*

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
