2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Install additional exterior security lighting
• Improve storm/site drainage in selected areas
• Repair/replace approximately 20,000 square feet of built-up roofing
• Remodel and expand administration area
• Repair/refurbish deteriorated classroom sink cabinets
• Refurbish teacher wardrobe and storage cabinets
• Refurbish interior doors
• Renovate/refurbish student group classrooms
• Replace deteriorated ventilation system controls and equipment
• Replace exhaust fans in individual student restrooms in 100-classroom wing
• Replace ventilation system boiler and other equipment serving 100- and 200-classroom wings, library and administration areas

• Replace sanitary sewer and domestic water lines serving kitchen

2008 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Technology upgrades
• Construct additional set of student and faculty restrooms
• Replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning system equipment at cafeteria
• Repair/replace roofing in 100- and 300-classroom wings and gymnasium
• Replace dishwasher

Phases

Remodel and expand administration area, remodel lower-level classrooms and replace administration heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.	Complete.	Over budget.*	Electrical panels will be replaced on weekends through November. Toilets will be renovated during the winter holidays.	There was asbestos identified in the lower level classroom area and administration area. This material was abated prior to the start of renovation.
Additional security lighting, heating ventilation and air conditioning improvements, restroom renovations, renovations to classroom casework, refurbish interior doors, boiler replacement, electrical upgrades, piping upgrades in kitchen.	Complete.	Over budget.*	Two water heaters in kitchen were added to project.	All new mechanical systems will meet and exceed the latest energy standards.
Repair and replacement 20,000 square feet of built-up roofing.	Complete.	Over budget.*		New roof will increase thermal efficiency and solar reflectivity.
Safety and security enhancements: closed circuit TV.	Complete.	Within budget.*	Grouped with three other schools.
Safety and security enhancements: card access and door repair.	Complete.	Within budget.*	Grouped with four other schools.
Air conditioning improvements in technology room.	Complete.	Within budget.*		All new mechanical systems will meet and exceed the latest energy standards.
Repair/replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.	Bid phase.	Under budget.*	Paired with Zilker Elementary School.	All new mechanical systems will meet and exceed the latest energy standards.
Restroom and accessibility renovations.	Design phase.
Replace dishwasher.	Bid phase.*	Within budget.*	Grouped with 13 other schools.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
