2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Install additional exterior security lighting
• Improve storm/site drainage at 100 and 300-wing courtyards and playfields
• Repair/replace approximately 39,000 square feet of built-up roofing
• Refinish/replace interior doors and hardware in selected areas
• Repair/replace/modify selected ventilation system equipment
• Replace boiler for girls’ and boys’ shower rooms
• Replace deteriorated sinks and faucets in technology lab and art rooms
• Replace gas piping at 300-classroom wing
• Install safety and security enhancements

2008 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Technology upgrades
• Cafeteria and kitchen improvements
• Replace dishwasher

Current Schedule Budget General Environmental
Improve storm/site drainage at 100- and 300-wing courtyards and playfields. Complete. Within budget of readjusted scope of work.* Focus of work to eliminate water intrusion into crawlspaces.
Safety and security: card reader door access. Complete. Within budget.* Grouped with four other schools.
Replace boilers, install heating, ventilation and air conditioning system in administration area. Complete. Under budget.* Replaced with high efficiency unit.
Modify mechanical ventilation under the crawlspace. Complete. Within budget. Funded with 2002 bond funds.* Grouped with two other schools.
Install additional security lighting, re-grade courtyards and playfields to improve storm drainage, replace 39,000 square feet of built-up roofing, refinish interior door and replace hardware, replace cooling tower, improve heating and air conditioning system, replace sinks and faucets in technology lab and art rooms, replace gas piping at 300-classroom wing, install safety and security enhancements. Substantially complete. Under budget.* Grouped with work at Matthews Elementary School.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
