2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Install additional exterior security lighting
• Replace deteriorated exterior doors and hardware
• Repair/replace approximately 50,000 square feet of built-up roofing

Reseal perimeter of windows.	Complete.	Within budget. Funded with 2002 bond funds.*	Paired with one other school.	Make windows more energy efficient.
Renovation. New outside fresh air systems for 24 classrooms, safety and security improvements, replacing exterior door and hardware, renovate science classroom casework.	Complete.	Over budget. Outside air units funded with 2002 bond funds.*	Paired with one other school.	Applying green building components. Supplemental outside air units improved indoor air quality.
Repair/replace approximately 50,000 square feet of built-up roofing.	Complete.	Under budget.*	Because of the ongoing roof leak problems the school wanted the construction work to start as soon as possible.	New replacement roof system will provide increased thermal efficiency and solar reflectivity.
Kitchen hood fire suppression replacement.	Complete.	Under budget.*
Construct air-gap at sinks; modify/add handwash sinks; install backflow preventers at sinks; install forced air ventilation in restroom; replace ceiling materials/system; install splash guards at sinks; replace sanitary sewer line at 500-classroom wing; renovate student and faculty restrooms.	Design phase.		Grouped with project at Zilker Elementary School.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
