2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Construct four-classroom science addition
• Construct additional spaces at front parking lot

Replace boilers and selected equipment.	Complete.	Under budget.*		Replaced with high efficiency unit.
Replace existing chiller.	Complete.	Within budget.*	AISD is adding new temperature sensors in the central plant to increase operation effectiveness.	All new mechanical systems will meet or exceed the latest energy standards. After project completion, then new systems will be commissioned to ensure operations at peek performance.
Repair/reseal walls and windows.	Complete.	Within budget. Funded with 2002 bond funds.*	The presence of asbestos in the window glazing has influenced the decision to replace the windows, vs. replacing the glazing.
Phase I: Roofing, security, lighting, electrical work and additional technology wiring.	Complete.	Over budget.*
Phase II: Renovation of student restrooms and installation of kiln room vent system.	Complete.	Within budget.*
Phase III: Heating and air conditioning improvements, site drainage work, locker and gymnasium bleacher replacements, new casework in music and science classrooms, and safety and security enhancements.	Complete.	Within budget.*		All new mechanical systems will meet and exceed the latest energy standards. After the project completion, the project will be commissioned to ensure that all newly installed mechanical systems operate at their peak efficiency.
Phase IV: Add new science classrooms, new athletic training room, additional HVAC work, and renovations to administration and career and college center areas.	Construction phase.	Within budget.*		Project will be designed to receive Austin Energy two-star Green Building rating.
Construct auditorium addition; install science safety equipment; repair/replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.	Design phase.			New construction and major building system renovations to be designed to meet or exceed Austin Energy Green Building two-star rating.

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
