2004 Bond Program Scope of Work

2008 Bond Program Scope of Work

• Technology upgrades
• Replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning system in large gymnasium
• Repair/replace roofing at classrooms 702-713, health services, print shop, culinary arts and other selected areas
• Renovate three science classrooms
• Install science safety equipment
• Convert three existing classrooms into science classrooms for International High School
• Install science safety equipment for International High School

Repair/replace approximately 24,000 square feet of roofing; modify/replace gutters, downspouts, roof drains and other drainage systems to improve stormwater discharge from roofs and away from buildings.	Complete.	Within budget.*	Alternate bids will be requested for roof replacement above north annex and east gym with more thermal efficient roof insulation and a solar reflective roof membrane.	Roof replacement above the library and band hall will include additional roof insulation and a solar reflective cap sheet to improve the overall thermal efficiency of the roof system, reduce energy expenses and qualify for an energy rebate from Austin Energy.
Regrade portions of this site to improve drainage and provide/modify mechanical ventilation under floor crawlspace. Accessibility compliant exterior accessible route.	Complete.	Under budget.*		Environmental considerations are limited to on-site drainage projects. Care was taken to avoid excess soil erosion during construction.
Install accessibility compliant elevator in north annex, and renovate restrooms.	Complete.	Under budget.*
Kitchen hood fire suppressant replacement.	Complete.	Under budget.*
Safety and security: closed circuit TV.	Complete.		Final testing and necessary adjustments are underway.
Safety and security: card reader door access and door repair.	Substantially complete.	Over budget.*	Due to limited vendors, this project is being completed through a separate contract.
Replace heating and air conditioning chiller.	Substantially complete.	Within budget.*		System design in accordance with the current energy standards (ASHRA 90.1).

*Budget for the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs are reported as both individual project budgets and overall program budget. While specific projects may be over or under budget, the 2004 and 2008 Bond Programs remain well within the total program budget.
