The study identifies effective and promising practices in dropout prevention, exemplary programs in Texas and nationwide, and provides specific recommendations. State legislators are using the document to inform their work on this issue, and we may see bills that incorporate some of the recommendations made in the study.

The TEA has released a Dropout Recovery Resource Guide, currently available in the Resources section of the State Initiatives dropout prevention page of the TEA website at: http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/ed_init/PDF/dropout_recovery_resource_guide.pdf.
