Secondary Student Success Toolkit
Part 4: IMPACT - Benefits of Utilizing E-Impact
  1. Teacher Impact referrals can be made electronically in lieu of paper referrals (this allows for consistency in referral information gathered). The system prompts teachers to answer specific questions that capture Response to Intervention data requirements.

  2. Student intervention information is accessible for review throughout a students tenure with AISD, which helps with student mobility issues- other Impact Teams can automatically see if a student was previously impacted the reasons for the referral, what interventions worked and what interventions did not work, etc...

  3. Impact forms (action plans, progress reports, attendance information, benchmark information, progress review documents, etc...) no longer have to be completed by hand but are captured on e-Impact and can be printed and saved.

  4. Mid-Year and full-year Impact Team Progress reports would not have to be submitted via paper copies to the Office of Dropout Prevention. The Office of Dropout Prevention staff would be able to review the data from CAC.

  5. Various types of reports could be automatically generated (e.g., Impacted students by ethnicity, gender, etc.)

  6. Information required for Special Ed. referrals will be captured via e-Impact if all sections are completed as required.

E-Impact can also be used from home through Access AISD located at: https://access.austinisd.org
