Project HELP (Homeless Education and Learning Program)

In collaboration with other AISD departments, local service providers and private partners, Project HELP (Homeless Education and Learning Program) assists students in temporary living situations due to crisis and/or economic hardship, to enroll, participate and succeed in school by providing basic needs and academic services as well as linking students and their families to Key AISD and local community support services.

Project HELP services include, but are not limited to:

  • Enrollment Assistance
  • Support services to unaccompanied youth
  • Tutorial and academic enrichment services
  • Parent education
  • Transportation services
  • A link to childcare services
  • Support to local emergency shelters and local service providers
  • Training and support to Austin ISD personnel, local service providers
  • School supplies, clothes, school fees, etc.
