Introduction
The mission of the Austin Independent School District (AISD) is that "all students will progress academically and intellectually and will graduate prepared for personal success and inspired to contribute to society." Parents and family members must be involved in this process to promote a healthy system of public education and assist in educating all children to meet high academic expectations and standards. AISD defines parent and family involvement as the engagement of parents, families, and the community as partners with schools for the purpose of promoting success throughout a child’s educational experience.
