Summer Film Camp

Returning for its 7th year, the Austin Film Festival's Young Filmmakers Program presents Summer
Film Camp! Ages 9-17 can experience a variety of filmmaking and screenwriting workshops - led
by accomplished filmmakers and writers! This camps takes place June 15-August 7, 2009 at McCallum High School.
Badgerdog Creative Writing Summer Camp
hosted by Badgerdog Literary Publishing, Inc.
Summer workshops are led by Austin's best writers: award-winning poets, novelists, playwrights,
and essayists. Students write poetry and prose, and learn to revise and edit their work for publication.
The camp culminates in the publication of a beautiful, library-quality anthology and two public readings,
the second followed by a book signing with campers.

Passport to Spanish

Summer Wonders is a nonresidential, full or half-day program that allows students to explore diverse subjects
in a challenging, creative environment through an integrative, hands-on non-traditional approach. While topics
are academic in nature, they are presented in a fun, creative manner that inspires critical thinking and enables
students to solve problems and effect discovery. Content areas include but are not limited to science, math, art,
drama, social studies, literature and economics. The program is non-profit with some scholarships offered.
